Quickstart

  1. Start The Atlas in any folder:

    Terminal window
    atlas

The ATLAS logo types itself in, then the chat opens. The interface starts in Uzbek; step 4 switches it to English.

  2. Connect an AI. On the first run no AI is connected, so the connect picker opens by itself. Later you can open it with /connect.

Pick OpenRouter. Your browser opens the OpenRouter sign-in page. Sign in and approve; the key comes back to the terminal by itself and is verified. Press k to paste a key by hand instead, or Esc to cancel.

Other providers open their key page in the browser; paste the key and press Enter. See Connecting providers.

  3. Ask. Type a question and press Enter:

› explain what a monorepo is in two sentences

The reply streams in. While it streams, Esc stops it. The status line under the input shows the model that answered and its remaining free requests.

  4. Change the language of the interface (uz, ru or en):

    /lang en

Or from your shell: atlas lang en. The AI itself replies in the language you write in.

Type What it does
/ Show all slash commands
/model Pick a model from all connected AIs
@src/app.ts what does this do? Attach a file to the question
/compare Ask 2 or 3 AIs at once
/agent add a README Let the AI edit files and run commands, with your approval
/agents Open one of 47 AI coding CLIs in a new window
ctrl+r Speak instead of typing
Terminal window
atlas ask "what is the capital of Uzbekistan?"
git diff | atlas ask "review this change"

atlas ask prints the answer to stdout; piped input is appended to the question.
